"My son enrolled in the Grade 12 Maths course. The chapter notes and AI quizzes helped him study between sessions. He went from failing to a merit in one term."
"We use the Standard plan for two subjects. Everything is managed through one parent portal. The structure and consistency is what sets TMTD apart from other tutoring options."

Most tutoring services specialise in one age group or a handful of subjects. TMTD Academy was built differently — as a single platform that follows a learner from their first years of primary school right through to Matric, and then into university or a coding career. Whether your child needs help with foundation phase reading, a Grade 11 struggling with Physical Sciences, or a first-year UNISA student stuck on a Calculus module, the same vetting standard, the same parent portal, and the same package pricing apply across every stage.
This matters because families rarely need help with just one subject at just one point in time. A learner who starts with TMTD in Grade 8 for Mathematics support can stay with the same platform — and often build a relationship with tutors who already understand their learning style — right through to their Matric exams and beyond, rather than having to find and vet a new provider every time their needs change.
Primary school tutoring focuses on building strong foundations in Mathematics, English, and Afrikaans, alongside Natural Sciences and Social Sciences from Grade 4 onwards. High school tutoring expands into the full CAPS and IEB subject range — Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, History, and Maths Literacy — with a particular focus on Matric exam preparation in Grades 11 and 12. University-level support covers common first- and second-year modules across Engineering Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, and Computer Science, with tutors familiar with the specific module structures at UNISA, Wits, UJ, UP, and UCT. Coding courses, including Python and Web Development, are available to school learners as an additional skill rather than a replacement for academic subjects.
Every TMTD tutor goes through a vetting process before they're approved to teach: an interview, a subject knowledge assessment, and a reference check. We only approve tutors who hold relevant qualifications and can demonstrate — not just claim — the ability to explain concepts clearly to a learner who is struggling with them. This is the same standard applied whether a tutor is teaching Grade 3 phonics or third-year Financial Accounting.
When you enrol, we match you with a tutor based on subject, grade level, and curriculum (CAPS or IEB). If the match isn't right for any reason, we re-match at no extra cost — the goal is a tutor your child is comfortable with, not just the first person available.
Every course on this page is billed under the same three-tier structure, regardless of subject or grade: Essential at R180 per hour (minimum 4 lessons, 1 subject), Standard at R300 per hour (minimum 8 lessons, up to 2 subjects), and Premium at R450 per hour (minimum 12 lessons, up to 3 subjects). Booking a full package brings the effective rate down to R160, R270, or R400 per hour. There are no separate "primary school" or "university" price lists — the tier you choose depends on how many lessons and subjects you need, not which course you're enrolling in.
Every new learner starts with a free first lesson, and there are no lock-in contracts at any tier — you can pause or cancel at any time.
A real-time parent portal. After every session, your child's tutor logs notes, scores, and homework — visible to you the same day, not at the end of term.
CAPS and IEB alignment. Every subject is taught to the curriculum your child's school actually follows, not a generic syllabus.
One-on-one sessions. No group classes diluting attention — every session is built around one learner's specific gaps.
Flexible scheduling. Sessions are booked around your family's schedule and increase or decrease in frequency as exams approach.
Across the full range of courses on this page, TMTD Academy has helped more than 500 students, with an average mark improvement of 14% and a 96% parent satisfaction rate. These figures span primary, high school, Matric, and university tutoring alike — not one grade or subject in isolation.
If you're unsure whether your child needs primary school support, high school subject tutoring, Matric-specific exam preparation, or university module help, contact us with their grade and the subject they're struggling with. We'll recommend the right starting point and match you with an appropriate tutor — there's no obligation, and the first session is free.
